Long, hopefully, thanks to the pre-natal vitamins I've been taking every morning!
My hair, that is.
I've decided to wear my hair down.
Ok quick aside...I kind of feel frivolous and silly for investing as much time and energy into my wedding hairstyle as I have. Wedding brain is taking over!
Moving on, I'm taking prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow. Hopefully it will thicken up too, because I have really thin, flat hair.
I'd like my hair to look something like this:
Haha, totally kidding, this movie was on last night and I thought it'd be funny to bring this "inspiration pic" to my hair trial and enjoy the look on the stylist's face when I tell her this is what I want. Seriously, I'm thinking something along these lines:
Or this:
But this is my favorite. Maybe it's because my hair is so flat, but I am a sucker for volume!
There's no way my hair will get that long, but I'd like another 4-6 inches by July. So I will keep chugging pre-natals (they are awesome for your skin, by the way, but haven't seen any difference in my hair yet and I've been taking them for 2-3 weeks) and getting trims, and hopefully I'll have a decent amount of length. I do know I want to volume on the top, loose curls, and my normal side part.
I am also considering a pretty piece for my hair, like this maybe:
Also love this:
I would probably attempt to make my own hair ornament, due to cost. These pretty little things have big price tags!
How you dressing your tresses for your wedding?
lol... I plan on starting a pre-natal regiment before the wedding too!... but for my fingernails rather than my hair. =) I'm a nail biter and need all the help I can get making these puppies grow! =)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of using pre-natal vitamins for hair. Maybe I should try it too. My hair is a lot like yours (thin and flat), so getting it to look anything like those pictures would be a challenge. I would also like it down and volume-y for the wedding day, though!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I've heard nothing but great things about this product if you were interested in trying it, http://www.ovationhair.com/.
ReplyDeleteI also don't know if you saw it or not but I am having a giveaway this week for a free crystal headband so check it out... maybe you will be a lucky winner. :)
I had no idea about the prenatal vitamins! I need to get me some of those! For hair skin and nails! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like all those pics! I'm sure you'll look great no matter how you decide to style your hair!
My best friend's hair got really beautiful & thick when she was pregnant with her first kid, she thought it was the pre natal vitamins, I may try this too!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat... where are you getting the prenatal vitamins? Do you need a prescription??
ReplyDelete-Miss Pug
Don't know how I'm wearing my yet - probably up. And, hairdressers have their trick for making hair thicker. Clip in extensions may help, just a thought!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Miss Pug, you don't need a prescription for pre-natal vitamins, you just have to look for them in the vitamin aisle.
Those hair photos are lovely. Never heard of taking the vitamins for that. Maybe I need to look into it.
ReplyDeleteP.s. You should totally freak your hair stylist out with that shot. How funny
I was considering the prenatal vitamins as well! On a side note, when I went to the store to buy some, I noticed that there are also some that are labelled specifically for hair growth (not prenatal)...I haven't tried any yet, but I'll let you know if they work if I do! Heaven knows, I need hair growth (mine is thin/flat as well...I'm hoping for some more length by May!).
ReplyDeleteI found a really cool retro pin at a flea market. I removed the pin part and hot glued the decorative part to a hair comb. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteIve seen a few of these photos too when I googled curls but i still havent seen what im looking for!
