I just finished reading....

My Most Excellent Year: A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins and Fenway Park, by Steve Kluger.

It's a young adult novel my sister Allison (the one who works in the youth department of the public library, and she's in school to be a high school English teacher) said that I had to read it, because the character development is outstanding. She was entirely correct on all accounts. The characters were so vivid, so wonderful. The book wasn't a straight through narrative. One character would present their side of the story through newspaper articles, letters, e-mails, instant messanger, etc. It was a really unique way of telling the story.

The novel is about 4 kids living in Boston. They fall in love, they find out so much about themselves, they grow up. It was amazing, a really good light read that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

What are you reading right now?
